About

I am a professor of English and Translation at University of Garyounis in Benghazi, Libya. and Director of Garyounis University Language Center.  I obtained my  Ph.D  in 1995 from University of Glasgow and my M.A from Indiana University Bloomington in 1982 in Applied Linguistics. 
My research activities focus on problems in academic writing, Research Methodology, Translation, and Language Testing.
I have published a number of books related to both English and Translation.

I am pleased that I have initiated the graduate Studies program in the Department of English in English Language and Linguistics in the academic year 1997/1998. My intention is to promote learning, share knowledge with other interested colleagues, and provide support and opportunities for keen students to participate in developing better education in the future.
